Summertree on the Lake is a community of 50 townhomes on about five acres at 7880 Kidston Road in Coldstream, right on Kalamalka Lake, the famous "lake of many colours." It dates from the early 1980s, which is part of its charm: it's one of the more affordable ways to own on Kal Lake.
Owners share a private beach, docks, a pool, a hot tub and a clubhouse, and each townhome has a single-car garage. Kidston Elementary is right next door, Kalamalka Secondary is a couple of minutes away, and Kal Beach is just down the road, so it works for families as well as retirees.
A few things to check before you buy: rentals have been restricted, and an older complex means you'll want to look closely at the depreciation report and the contingency fund. I'll go through the strata documents with you.
